This one is being shared old school; no secrets, no tricks, no specially marked boxes. Just want to see how/if/when the response is to the new-old style.
Second track from last night's session as Imperial Dunes which is: Andrew on drums Mike P. on bass E.Lund on vox/guitar
(*thus far)
Got a virgin tumblr, I'm going to try to use it more than this for this stuff, but that won't be easy, I like how 85lives trails threw years of creative development.
a mixdown of a real caresser. Meant to soothe and relax the worried mind. A gentle breeze if you will.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
Recorded at 322 on 7/21/10 - photo from same session, mixed down on the morning of 7/23/10.
So much more ahead, haste does indeed make waste, calm your mind.
Haste makes waste, so am I totally wasted or right on time?
double nickels is changing. The guitar/drum duo thing has limitations; it's still fun but we want more room for expression. Enter switch stance. Micheal got out from behind the drums and did the bass work. I did synth and programming and wow, a new sound from us.
This is from the 71610 session at 322; we never were rocky; it was all in my head.
I had total déjà vu when uploading this just now. I heard the drums and seen the tabs opening... fleeting but existent non the less.
So many new doors are near. I dare not jinx them by mentioning them specifically. I do know that some of the things began this summer may fade, simply because the commitment levels differ; as much as I would hope they wouldn't a lack of communication is a lack of communication.
On the flip side, there are many roads inward. A constant focus on quality delivery and performance is paramount.
Remember what you want, what you expect and what you hope for; and above all who you hope in. There is still hope for a future, despite the inconsistencies of today.
Those around you; reach out to them in all truth, seeking their best interest; even pray for them. Perhaps who is the most high will bless the desires of your heart.
(fast forward) it's all ready been written, let's see how it plays out.
Revelation 5 The Scroll and the Lamb 1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. 4 I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center before the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits [a] of God sent out into all the earth. 7 He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people. 9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God members of every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign [b] on the earth."
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"
14 The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.
Opportunities are opportunities, and sometimes we don't see them while others do and sometimes we see them while others don't. The important thing is to know when to strike at an opportunity, when to move, how to move, what to say, how to say it, and all the while being true to your form and the universal laws that exist between all people and the living God.
I ran into Rachelwho plays bass/drums and has a bf at ERD Kroger, her Dad was "buying her groceries because she's poor".
Rachel, I reply to my text if/when you hear/dig this stuff and are colleratively curious.
Welcome to the 4th of July weekend 2010, next scene: the pool City-hick girls in truckers, latinos, my babies. She already knows she why she can't drink my drink. She's 8 almost 9 now.
The baby is totally fair, with red hair, a real mc looker. We may be in Miami this time next week.
I really don't want Mike to move to the Beecher St. He'll smoke more than play and I want to him to live the dream with me.
OMG was that fast. I made this whole track; from ground up including art and upload at work on my 26" iMac and whammy, here it is! Still feeling hungover even though I barely drank last night, it's more the lack of sleep.
DN didn't rehearse last night and the room was already paid for so I put my melancholy to work and multi-tracked some emotion for you.
So far, I have to complete a song (at least a version of it) the day I began it. There's a freshness that prt of me things escapes if I do guitars one day, vocals one day.... and there's very little other activity to cut; gotta pay the rent, and kids need a present Father, so sleep and exercise often get cut.
Fun stuff like hiking? No time, not with this music always stating its importance and demanding more and more from me.
This track was originally titled, thanks, Dad... sort of a Dear God but more from a surrendered stance; a bit defeated but with hope for a winning season soon.
When it was time to track it and share it, summer seperation seemed so much more fitting. Have a good day.
Big things can come in small packages Work with what you have Focus and be determined Mind made up Have a reason, purpose Age is not a factor Neither is Financial means Watch your words Watch who you say what to Practice Listen Get better Iron sharpens iron, so call it.
Did all the parts myself, not the desired way, but a means to an end, a way to portray the sounds in my head with little to no exterior influence (while of course, I welcome said influence, if the person wants to play along with what I'm doing).
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n' roll.
When in doubt, give. It's far better to give than receive.
"When we have nothing Left to give There'll be no reason for us to live."
- Fugazi
Always give. Give cheerfully. Give without thought of reward. Give and watch maybe you'll grow Give and watch maybe you'll show Give and watch maybe you'll change yourself your family your community your time on Earth
