update

BREAKING NEWS (lol):

I'm almost completed transcribing the old testament into music (obviously mostly DJ music as of lately, as it's easier to get consistently unique results) but am running into some life questions.

23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. Amos 5 KJV

(ugh, ever get the feeling you're not the only one using your computer?!)

Anyways, portions like this almost made me abort this work. It's like Jesus wants us to sit in silence and just mourn till his return, don't make me cite all the mourning is better than laughter type verses - yet the word is flawless, this I know and believe with all my heart.

So I take the rebuke, am thankful and keep going. It's impossible for me to know why he is mad at me daily I am just certain he is since I get more and more poor and withdrawn, with every song.  Some of these jams are so on point and excellent and even begin to produce buzz, but then seem to fizz out, having never got more than a handful of plays and likes.

I started going full time putting the word to music after loosing my job during the summer of 2012; and have not broke even since however

Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Ps 54:4 KJV

Anyways, there is no point I am trying to make here, I must press on. I may loose my studio at the end of the month and, unless Jesus moves will be homeless or dead - both of which I am worthy of for all the wicked and sinful things that I have said and done, however, he may choose to have mercy on me and help me. I am too old to be your roommate.

It's make it or break it for real.

DEATH

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.

I'm going thru changes

It's time.

Finally time.

Poor people need something bigger than themselves to believe in, rich people believe in themselves.
The bible explains this by saying The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.

But what about the poor who earnestly trust God and never experience  his goodness?

Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

So I'm going to try, again, to scrape this unprofitable belief from my soul.

I'm pretty confident the expected end will happen - nothing.

Weather I believe and continue in hope and faith or can manage to ditch faith - nothing will happen.

Why?

I could say the obvious answer, no one is home, that the bible is essentially one of many ancient manuscripts passed down for centuries, or the also obvious. He's fed up with me and as abandoned me.

Either way, I feel more alone now than ever - and it's not so bad. It's real. I can count on it.

I will take responsibility and credit for the results of my life from this moment forward. If I fail, it's because I failed, if I succeed its because I succeed - I will try to no longer blame or credit Jesus.

I still believe in the word, how can I not, but I must realize that the promises and hope it was not meant for everyone; but for whom he has mercy on.

I am not one of those. Knowing this, I must spend my hours to pull myself up and eventually profit, not mediating on a book inspired by a God who has already cast me away.

Have a good day.

Here's the soundcloud Fall 2013 playlist; expect changes.

Dubs from here on!
Unless I can get myself to pen lyrics or stomach more of the word (that could care less for me).

I'm just going to have to trust God and not be double-minded and see what happens. If I am judged by my sins I am screwed; I need God's mercy, that's the only way I will be saved.

Good things are happening, I'm working a ton and make progress on several levels.

First is Always a way, the hybrid original/remix set

Then there's the remix hitster...

Je vois des vagues

And rounding the three, the adventuresome

- which has all lyrical tracks.

Needless to say, I stays busy. I hope you can dig it, I hope it inspires you, I hope you open your wallets, I hope you find it worth spending your money on. My goal is to minister to you and to get you moving.

BM - blog moved

These posts were complete chronological but
I'm now going to begin experimenting with
moving them around to insure that
Kareem always rises to the top!

The posts that move will be tagged
BM for "blog moved" and I'll try
comment with the OG time-stamp.

PS - the search is busted and it's
google's fault.

Jonas

My bro in Denmark is so rad.

ps- I never really state it but unless mentioned, all material posted is written and engineered by yours truly. I almost always do primary vocals and guitar. I would to have consistent shoulders to share this (burden of vision) but after decades of searching I realized you can't really lean on those who aren't there.

I am, however super grateful for those who keep popping back, Alan, Creed, maybe even Mr. P and Travis someday.

I just removed the secret download tag from cut; it's been downloaded over 200 times, I figure it must be at least worth a .25$ credit card transaction.

Should it remain free? I ain't gonna lie, Iz do gotta and wanna gets paid.

WELL?

This is something of a moral dilemma for me. I sure could use your help.

The bandcamp and soundcloud have all but obsoleted the way I shared music with you for the last couple of years.
They make it easy to share and sell this music.
(sell being operative, the more sells the more resources are available to make more and at arguably higher quality.)

But I digress. This music is made out of love for it you and above all else, literally; God.

The credits on most al of the bandcamps list God, family and friends; or G/F/F for short.

I'm a believer.

Now check this out. The latest Mediafire stats. People are still loving the jams we shared with you years ago.

Particularly, The Night Fox stuff. Interesting. Too bad Asha tries so hard to be like everybody else (at least from my view, come on a girl band called wife, so cliche. yawn.
,,, And don't get me started on Alan. We haven't spoken in years and that's a shame but ok. Life moves on and I wish him well

- but I digress.

Check the stats:

monkey pains

I love the whole work with whatcha got or DIY ethos.... working within limitations and boundaries, knowing the scarrzz and knowing that within these confines there is a freedom, you can produce and you don't have to just be a fan.
monkey pains
That being said, here's monkey pains
Monkey pains by roleATL

Of course I don't know if it's right to say, just being a fan - a fan is an enthusiast. And energy sparks energy. + += + - so fans, if you have a spark to make something, like Mike Watt once told me, "300 bucks, go get one of these (pointing to his bass) and start your own band".

.... last night (and continuing) have been productive.
