remarkably I'm now up to 4/22/09 - having the tracks 100% reviewed by 12.31.09 is definitely a reality... and now that I'm mediafire pro I shouldn't ever have to rectify the files again.
49 scarrzz ready files; 40 file-missing (and most of those are not really missing).
This goes to my lovely daughter, Trinity, whom I have to share with her mom's BF, and it hurts me to do so but such is the live that God has given me. Perhaps this music will someday help bridge the gap between me and wish fullfillment; to provide a great life for the ones I love. imperfecti
update: .. well so far I'm up to 11.15.08 in updating 85Lives with all functional streaming music. so far 33 tracks have been discovered to be scarrzz-ready, and 37 have been file-missing; of course most of the latter is not really missing, just has to be more intensely hunted for.

... looks like the mediafire issue is resolved; it wasn't just me; turns out all of mediafire was down for a minute!
As I begin the year-end task of assuring all 472 tracks are streamable I am adding a new tag; scarrzz-ready for anything, ironically enough, that is ready for the big boy blog.
First track hosted, shared and streamed on Mediafire. Life just got a little bit easier.
This track will be featured on the rhodetripp release; early 2010.
Just went Mediafire pro; ditching FileFreak for good; lost another account... possibly hundreds of tracks out there are missing and will have to be re-streamed... this is work!.
kept incubated for a good 24 hours before being brought to you. I didn't think it was good enough. I thought it was lacking something, I thought it didn't ppop enough (or at all) - and I was right. It's a sound sketch. It's crap.... but I still somehow like it so here you go, perhaps you'll fall to its charms as well.
Everything relates to something else and the more you announce a certain disposition, the more you could become said disposition; even if you were saying it in a type of protest, of course if you you believe in God you have an iron-clad excuse purpose for suffering, for He chastises those He loves.
That being said, black Friday will be spent making sure all the content is present. I may even buy a mediafire account.
It was bound to happen, and I'm totally not happy about it, but there's so much content here, it was a matter of time before something wound up missing. Original source file and master reel is gone too, everything. It's like it never happened; yet I hear it in my head. If you are one of the 57 people that downloaded it, please send me a copy. This one was totally scarrzz ready; it had hit written all over it. I'm bummed to the point of drinking.
The file-missing blog label has been created and introduced to mitigate such a travesty.
Norwigian Eyes is potentially the earliest hit I could ever recall recording; and it was done with the most amount of players I have yet to work with. Steve was on bass, Scott played drums and sang the ending., Bekka did intro harmonies and exit harmonies as well as tambourine; I played the purest guitar I think I've ever played (and that's as close to horn toot-ing I'm going to come). I did the body vocals.
Steve's bass lines were backbone and complete required. It was recorded on Sony reel to reel tape from the 60's (found it in Inman Park on Irwin; there's a whole story there), the song is sort of about the cover art's beauty; the young Cindy Lund, oh how I loved her. The cover photo was taken in Manhattan on some viney cast-iron garden on the upper west side. I just bought her the butterfly necklace. We were having a time roaming thru Manhattan streets and trains.
Track notes say it was recorded in the fall of 96 but I recall it being the Holidays of 96; Arizona was a few months old and we have a 2/1 in Grant Park; it had a large living room, that led to a dining room, to the kitchen and bedroom/bath. The dining room had been converted into the Teal room; recording space for a great band that never played out (my God is that ever familiar). We were able to play till the wee hours of the night, as long as everything sounded good the neighbors were ok with it.
The girls would sit in the living room and talk and watch TV with the volume down (you couldn't hear anything but the band when we played), but we were all young and carefree so this was completely acceptable.
The rhodetripp demo began on the conversation of domestic bliss. What is it's source? Is it luxurious furnishings and surroundings? Certainly no one wants section 8. It's obviously in the relationship. But do do the two of you have to do everything together, matching his and her towels, completely agreeing and finishing one's sentences whilst sipping eggnog? Probably not, get a dog.
It's probably more about people who have learned how to work thru difficult situations, valuing each other and balancing personal wants and desires with that of the relationship and making careful decisions therewith.
This thing sat there like a aged flesh; valuaable to few; still something in it caught my attention and I ran back to it and had to tell you about it. It's from the sirirousslyfearioussly collection, a worst of the bad, but then maybe it's not all that bad. Maybe what makes it bad is really good. Maybe the fact that it isn't "blowing up" doesn't mean its crap right? too much thinking. comeonnow
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luke 12:27 King James Version
Praise the LORD. A few beats before dinner. Much love to my family and friends.
Tonight I'll try my best to update the 2008 catalog. Don't hold your breathe. I'm feeling anxiety isn't far and despair even closer; if I can only get it right and have you see it and hear it, and get the validation and resources to become what we've always known I could be.
This is really a good one... I like it, it's got a good tempo, pace, the bass pops casually; the vocals don't crack they blend in with the reverb of the guitar. The drums provide the backbeat that keeps you on your feet. This should move you; if you got a pulse! It's the start
So you ended up in a high rise, famous with a beautiful woman in an exotic city; so you ended up living paycheque to paycheck, divorced and in your 30's... that's called life
This stuff can get so weird; because there is stuff that I work on, all day sometimes, but never seems quite right; but I'll share anyways; because maybe you'll see it differently... I mean it if was total crap it;d never leave my Mac; so that's not the iss, it's just that is it the shit... that is the quest; to make music that's so current, so revelating and for you. I know as soon as that connection is made the sense of global excitement I've been desiring wll come to pass.
This was almost the track recorded during the 91209 session at THE BURBS, Alan kept passing out during the recording reviews; having spent the day cutting acres and acres of high spider grass.
Hi. If this is your first time here, be sure to check out theGuide to 85 Lives... it'll help you navigate thru the content, of course you can just browse and click all day if you want to, that's fine.
